My first, and probably favorite "masterpiece" or opus to date. This cassowary represents a true-to-life rendering adapted from a photograph of a popular kids animal fact-file image, which I had as a kid. As a result, I learned a lot about rendering color in graphite (hard to do for greyscale) and texture and lighting, and it is as a result a highly personal piece.
